Demeter supports CarbonWorks in its development through its €11m Series A fundraising
Demeter is pleased to announce that we are supporting CarbonWorks in its development through its €11m Series A fundraising. Our Agrinnovation fund has participated to this round, alongside with FERMENTALG, SUEZ, Bpifrance, BNP Paribas and AQUITI Gestion. CarbonWorks aims to decarbonize the industry using the power of microalgae to transform CO2 into natural biomass. This deeptech company develops a breakthrough photobioreactor that will unlock the massive usage of microalgae in agriculture and food while recycling industrial emissions of CO2.
This confirms Demeter’s long-time vocation to contribute to the ecological transition by making food production more sustainable and our belief in microalgae since our previous investment in Fermentalg and Microphyt.
Demeter is very pleased to help Guillaume Charpy and his team unlock the last milestones before industrialization of the production.
