Julien is Partner in the Venture team. He focus mainly on the ‘Energy Transition’ and ‘Smart City’ venture funds. Graduating from Paris Civil Engineering School and EM Lyon Business School, Julien has more than 16 years’ experience, including 12 years in the energy and environment sector at ENGIE Group, where he held complementary positions at the corporate level and within the innovation & new business division. He started his career in 2004 at Société Générale in New York as a financial analyst. In 2005, he joined the M&A & LBO advisory bank Aforge Finance in Paris, then moved to Unibail-Rodamco in the real estate investment space. In 2008, he joined ENGIE where he occupied corporate positions within the holding Finance department, notably becoming a senior financial & economic advisor to the CFO. In 2014, he became a member of ENGIE New Ventures, the investment vehicle of the Group that targets differentiating technologies and new business models of the energy transition. Julien was a Senior Investment Director in charge of venture operations in the following domain priorities: renewable solutions (storage, smart grids, hydrogen, biogas), energy efficiency, green mobility and digital. He performed direct investments and exits in Europe, in the US and in Israel.
