Demeter strengthens its team

Geoffroy DUBUS joins Demeter as a Partner in the Venture team.

His focus will be on the Agrinnovation venture capital fund dedicated to Agtech and Foodtech themes. He brings more than 20 years’ experience to the team in venture capital in technology and digital in both France and abroad..

Geoffroy Dubus has an engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris (Telecom Paris), a Master’s degree in Physics from Paris-Saclay University and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

After 6 years as Business Development Director of France Telecom North America (now Orange) in New York, Geoffroy spent 8 years as General Partner at Innovacom, a venture capital firm specialising in information technologies and telecommunications in Europe and the United States. He then joined Gimv, a private equity firm active for 40 years, where he helped open Gimv’s French office and developed its venture capital activity in France. He was a Partner for 10 years at Gimv, a company active in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany, and then worked for more than 2 years as a Venture Partner at Karista, a venture capital company specialising in innovation. Geoffroy also worked as a M&A and fund-raising advisor at Oakland Partners, a UK-based firm specialising in cross-border M&A transactions and strategic advisory services to high-tech companies.

Over the course of his career, Geoffroy has been involved in the successful deployment of 9 funds and has invested in over 30 companies, 4 of which went public and 21 of which were sold to corporate or institutional investors.
