Demeter announces a new investment for Fonds de Modernisation Ecologique des Transports (FMET) in partnership with Renault Group, The Mobility House and Banque des Territoires

Thursday 28 March 2019 – Demeter (via the Fonds de Modernisation Ecologique des Transports – FMET), Renault Group, The Mobility House and Banque des Territoires have created a joint project company dedicated to stationary storage using batteries from electric vehicles.

This project aims at building the largest stationary electricity storage system using electric vehicle batteries; batteries are supplied by the Renault group for an installed capacity of nearly 45 MW in France.

This storage capacity will be commercialised by the technology company The Mobility House to meet various network energy services or other industrial storage needs (peak shaving, backup…). The first site of the project will be located at the Renault plant in Douai (Northern France).
